Frequently Asked Questions
This template package comes with a starter web site in .zip format and contains
all of the pages and images you see here. Unzip the package and start editing
the pages. We strongly recommend you keep a backup copy of the .zip in case
you need to start over. We have included a basic site structure with common
pages to help you get started. You may rename the pages, add more pages, and
add your content.
Can I change the template colors?
You can easily modify font colors (links, headings, and text) by editing the included CSS file. Other portions of this template use graphic images and cannot easily be changed. If you feel the colors used in this template do not meet your needs, we offer custom design and modification services. Please contact us for details and pricing information.
Can I change the images used in the template?
Yes, this template is designed so that you can replace our images with those of your own. You can replace the top header image by editing the included .psd file. For the small sample photo images, you can replace these with the image size of your choice. Please read the image licensing information below.
Pre-Licensed Images: This template may contain non-watermarked images or photos provided by third-party vendors. We have obtained the necessary licenses, rights, or permissions to use the non-watermarked images within this template package. You may use such images within the template for your web site, but do not have the right to use the images separately outside of your web site. You are bound by the license agreement and copyright of the third-party image providers.
Watermarked Images: This template may contain watermarked images or photos provided by third-party providers. We have obtained permission to incorporate these sample images within the template. If you wish to use these images for your web site, you are required to purchase the non-watermarked version directly from the vendor. [Note: If you do not have the software to adapt your own image, we can do this for you for free within 30 days of your purchase.]
How do I add my site name?
The template uses the "header.jpg" image that has our sample business name applied. We supply you with a header.psd file with each element such as the background, photos, and site name, each on its own layer. You can add your text using your favorite image editing software program and select your favorite font. Save your edited image as header.jpg into the images folder of your web and allow it to overwrite the existing file. [Note: If you do not have the software to edit a layered Photoshop (.psd) file, we can edit the header.psd for you for free within 30 days of your purchase.]
Can I add more pages?
Yes. We know you will want to add more pages, delete some of ours you do not need, and change hyperlinks. You can also delete our small photos and add your own. As far as we know, there are no limitations in how you choose to use our templates. The only limits are your own knowledge of your html editing software program, XHTML, and CSS.
